"Chest popping" nonstop

Alright, I've done a bit of research on this and I notice that most everything I find seems to say that occasional "sternum popping" is fairly common and there isn't much you can do about it. Mine, however, isn't really "occasional". I go through these periods every so often (like the past few days) where I have to pop it like maybe 10 or so times a day. It doesn't feel "relieved" after I pop it during these periods, and sometimes it won't pop at all, it just feels like it's going to.

I'm just looking for a bit of advice because nothing I am reading seems to involve it happening so frequently, or in spurts like this.

Mine does this, too! I recently had an xray and showed no signs of abnormalities. I have nothing to say about it other than I agree that it is irritating, sometimes painful and I don't know what help a doctor can provide. I went in and came out with nothing to help the occasional pain. Boo.
